Shadow-Planner for iOS puts your organisation’s business continuity plans in the hands of the people who need them.
The app works with the Shadow-Planner BCM enterprise software solution from Daisy IT Continuity Consulting Ltd, synchronising with the BC plans held in Shadow-Planner to provide a mobile version of those plans to users of iOS devices. It is of great value to everyone involved in a business continuity response, especially BC professionals and members of the crisis management and IT teams.
Features include:
• Summary BC plans (known as Action Plans) detailing what to do and when
• Drill-down capability to view specific actions along with associated documents and people responsible
• Hierarchical contact groups with drill-down facilities to find contact details for key staff members
• Contact staff by phone, SMS or email
• Search for contacts or plans
• Passcode protection for all data
• Synchronisation of contact and plan data with the enterprise application ensures that your mobile BC data is always up to date
• Download documents on demand or include them in the regular synchronisation
• Circulate documents by email or print to an AirPrint printer
New in Daisy Release of Shadow-Planner for iOS (for Shadow-Planner 4.5.1 Build 127 Rev 3)
• You can sync contacts who are not members of any contact group.
• Contact groups are sorted in priority order and then alphabetically by name.
• Plans with more than ten triggers are listed in the correct order.
• Action texts that have additional text available display "View Description" at the end of the text. Tap to view the additional text; tap again to hide it.
• Plans may contain links to document categories. (Until Shadow-Planner 4.6 is released, tapping a document category will give an error.)
• The app displays details for resource types, assets and local processes linked to plans.
• Plans linked into parent plans are accessible as documents.
• Search finds plan categories as well as plans.
• The app caters for action plans but not recovery plans. If an action plan is converted to a recovery plan on the Shadow-Planner server, it still exists as an action plan on mobile devices but is longer syncd. Once Shadow-Planner 4.6 is released, these obsolete plans will be removed the next time you sync.
• The app is branded as belonging to Daisy IT Continuity Consulting Ltd and has a new logo.
